Fibromyalgia

Fibromyalgia is a very widespread and common condition that affects mostly women worldwide. Symptoms include constant muscle pain and weakness, joint aches, headaches, chronic fatigue, inability to sleep deeply, and depression which can become suicidal. Once believed by many physicians to be a "phantom symptom", women were told the problem had no cause, was "all in their head" (psychosomatic), or "they had to learn to live with it." They were prescribed an array of medications including steroids, NSAIDs, or non steroidal anti inflammitants, anti depressants, methyltrexate, Lyrica, Cymbalta, and even methadone (originally used to counter heroin addiction.) The problem is all medications have side effects. Some of those side effects with the medications just mentioned are very serious, and the success rate is not very high.

Research1 finally shed intelligent light on the cause of fibromyalgia. Dr. Jon Russell at the University of Texas, San Antonio, states, "Many sufferers state the condition followed a physical or emotional trauma, which caused prolonged sleeplessness and deep stress." We do know that those with fibromyalgia have low serotonin levels in their blood and cerebral spinal fluid, so neurotransmitters are involved with the condition.

5 BODY SYSTEMS AFFECTED: Fibromyalgia involves five body systems simultaneously: the musculoskeletal system, the nervous system, the immune system, the psychological balance, and the vascular system.

To treat it successfully you must affect them simultaneously - not an easy task. Canada gave us an important link to the solution: synaptic therapy, an FDA approved muscle stimulation unit that produces serotonin. Serotonin is much stronger than morphine as a pain mediator and, of course, has no side effects. Serotonin is also found in low doses in sufferers from sleep disorders, depression, and fibromyalgia. In a four year study that Canada conducted through their nationalized health care program, thousands of patients were evaluated after an eight week, 24-visit program of synaptic stimulation. Ninety percent of those patients revealed remarkable results including freedom from fibromyalgia symptoms and a return to normal serotonin blood and CSF levels.

Remarkable results for chronic pain, chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia have also been researched and documented in Germany with Farabloc blankets, developed by scientist Frieder Kempe2. The weave, which is designed to shift electro magnetic fields, is the same technology as the Farday Cage, developed to treat phantom pain after WWII. That research led to the MRI. The fabric that Kempe developed was studied by Dr. Gerhard Bach at the University of Munich to treat fibromyalgia, and results were excellent3. ABC Health Solutions is the U.S. distributor for the Farabloc products which come in blankets, sleeves, jackets, or customized items. These products are FDA approved for pain. Farablock can be ordered at www.abchealthsolutions.biz or (206) 949-2097.

We believe in and use time tested, well researched methods to successfully treat fibromyalgia. In conjunction with chiropractic, synaptic therapy and Farabloc blankets for home use work well to attain lasting results with no side effects. We have successfully treated dozen of women who suffered from this painful condition. Many of them had tried medications with no success and had suffered for years. If you or someone you know suffers from these symptoms or has been diagnosed with fibromyalgia call us - we're here to help.
