Sciatica
This common condition is defined as irritation and inflammation to the sciatic nerve. This is the thickest nerve in the body and originates in the lower back, specifically from the 4th and 5th lumbar nerve roots in the bottom of the "small of the back" and the first 2 nerve roots in the sacrum, which attach to the pelvis, forming the weight beaing foundation of your body. The cause of the nerve irritation is compression from the sacroiliac joint, which is the joining of the bottom of the sping to the pelvis, resulting from a biomechanical imbalance, or torque in the area. Nerves then can be compressed as they exit from the spine through this torqeing pressure, or from intervertebal discs bulging into the nerve. Millions of people suffer from this condition, and thankfully the treatment solution is well documented and effective most of the time. We have treated thousands of patients with sciatica successfully with a combination of chiropractic to rebalance the low back torque, decompression to relieve bulging discs, specific massage therapy techniques and laser therapy, used worldwide to relieve the inflammation from the nerve root and joint capsules. Short of a ruptured disc, which is quite rare, nonsurgical treatment is extremely effective. If you have this condition, call for a Free consultation and sciatica evaluation.
